Star Trek
Q

When the Star Trek Away Team pack was announced, I figured I would buy two and mod one of them into the original series crew. When I actually got my hands on the set, that seemed a bit unnecessary, as most of the figures can pass for the "real" versions of the characters. So instead I made this, to go along with Q's appearance in the 2011 Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes crossover series.

He's in his classic The Next Generation captain's uniform here, of course, made from a Superman set Starman body with lots of greenstuff and the head and collar from the DC 75th Anniversary Aquaman. I had hoped to get him a "snapping" right hand, but figured it would be difficult to find, but right there in my spare parts bag was Icons starter Joker, whose right arm got shortened and greenstuffed to replace the one in the sculpt. His dial obviously had to have the Power Cosmic or Quintessence team ability (or something like them) along with Phasing/Teleport. Given the options, points costs, and availability of the possible pieces, I decided that I liked the "nonintereference… mostly" vibe of the Phantom Stranger from Justice League. And of course I'm just now noticing that that choice also puts a giant letter "Q" on the base, so there's that.
